Received a DQ through the post today.

Is it still better to not submit this form through the post?

Plus, is the completion of the form, as it was when I completed my previous one (from a different claim), a few months ago?

Now, today, i receive the "customary" email from DCB Legal ( AlexK@dcblegal.co.uk):-

" Without Pejudice

Good Morning,

We write in relation to the above matter.

Our client is prepared to make an offer to potentially conclude this matter...etc...etc..."

Of course-- I SHALL NOT be calling the tel no ( from:- Alex Keogh, Case Manager, DCB Legal Ltd.)

Well, waiting for the claimant to submit their Witness Statement first, then, I shall do that :)

I do appreciate this crucial statement is a summary, in my own words, but all I am planning to include, is literally of the points raised in my defence.

Just bumping this-- to attempt a reaction from an expert.....in the reality of preparing a Witness Statement

**Update**

Case had been allocated to Doncaster via MCOL (Your claim was transferred to DONCASTER on 16/01/2026), which I stated in my D.Q. as my "Home Court".

Then, I received a letter, dated 2 February, 2026, "General Form of Judgment or Order", which stated,
1. This matter be transferred to the County Court at Mansfield.

And now, today, received N157 form, "Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing)".

Gives the Claimant, until 27 March 2026, @ 4.00pm , to either cough up the £27.00, or apply to the Court for either their "possible" discontinuance, or a set aside, varied or a stayed application.

Hearing date: Scheduled for 10:00am, 24 April 2026.

So, a witness statement is the next event in my diary, as Deputy D.J. Wigham, has ordered, that all parties must send copies of witness statements, no later, than 4pm, 20 March 2026.

It is £270.

Still within its 6 year capacity, until August 2027.

I guess, by offering a 45% discount, it`s unlikely they will consider enforcement.. which of course, comes at quite a cost (£91).

On a different subject, and rather than starting a new post/thread.

I have 1 old (4 and a half years) CCJ,-obtained by Excel Parking Services, whereby now, BW Legal, have took it upon themselves, to write to me, asking for a "proposed settlement figure"- with a 45% discount off the CCJ.

Do these companies ever just consider, which I`m sure they do, the cost of enforcement (£91 for a Warrant of Control), versus the actual "hope/chance" they have, of securing the actual amount of the original CCJ?

Quote from b789:- "Did you submit an AoS?"

Yes, I did that. MCOL states "Your acknowledgment of service was received on 08/12/2025 at 16:05:11"

Merry Christmas from DCB Legal....... ;D

Nope, it`s not a Christmas card I`m referring to...  but another claim form, from Northampton, which arrived today.

DCB Legal have bulk added this new court claim for myself, to Northampton`s already bulging list of court claims.

I shall either, post it in this thread, if that is best, or start a new thread, as this new claim has been initiated by the usual "non-compliance", from a different parking company.

The claim, which this thread was started with, was by "I Park Services Ltd", and this new claim has been initiated by " Euro Car Park Services Ltd".
