Hello,

I have submitted two topics for my same journey into London. I am a brand new self employed courier driver. I have made one trip into London, and it’s proving not to be much of a success… I have one PCN for congestion charge I thought I paid, and then this one arrived! Apparently vans are not allowed. I feel very silly, although I have never driven a van in London before, I was completely ignorant to the fact that my van was classed as a large goods vehicle and could carry over 2 tonnes, I knew I wasn’t a lorry and I was only escorting an envelope! I have done a google map search of the type of signage I aparently disregarded, and it shows you a lorry with a 2 tonne sign. I honestly didn’t believe I was either of these things! Hello,

I’ve recently taken a new job. Self employed courier. I got sent into London. I thought I would enter the congestion zone, so the next morning I entered my registration and it said I needed to pay £24.50 for the congestion charge and the tunnel. I have not driven in London before or since this date, and as it showed up my reg, I paid the fee and thought it was a good job done… then a PCN arrived.
I understand that it’s telling me I paid for the wrong date. But I don’t recall entering a date of travel, it found my details and as I said, I have only ever made one journey… I genuinely thought I had paid. (I also have received another PCN for driving in a tunnel I wasn’t supposed to, I’ll do a seperate post for that)
Any help would be appreciated.

Hope someone can help.

I sold my house sept 2024. I am out of the uk and I see a credit alert and I am surprised to see a ccj on my credit file. I don’t have any financial dispute with anyone to my knowledge, but there was an old Britannia parking thing from a long time ago I forgot about, so that’s the only thing I can think of, so I’m wondering could it be that.But because I have been out of the uk I haven’t received anything by post. I don’t get much post anyway, but I put a Royal Mail divert to my mother in laws for 6 months, and I will
Obviously update when I return and when have a new address in the uk. I panicked a little when I saw it and I fired off a dispute to trans union, but I haven’t taken any other steps. Please could anyone advise me what the process is now and how I can deal with this being outside the uk. Thankyou so much

The restaurant wasn’t part of the shopping complex. The restaurant being on a main road.

Private parking tickets / Britannia PCN - Overstayed welcome - Southampton

Received PCN. Genuinely parked and proceeded to a local restaurant. It was absolutely raining cats and dogs and it was dark.  It was midweek & evening so wasn’t alarmed that there was a lack of other vehicles.
Not used this car park for over 10 years and wasn’t expecting PCN.
It your opinion, what’s the best way to deal with this situation? (I swear it’s going to be illegal to breathe soon!) any advice appreciated and thankyou in advance

Hi, I have had a reply from the tribunal. The council has uploaded evidence. I can respond. I also have 7 days to choose an adjudication or a telephone/video hearing? Which one do I choose? Thankyou

Good morning CP, wow thankyou. I did take a look at the traffic order but it is quite overwhelming! Please may I ask, how are you sure I am on the West? Through Google maps? Sorry if this is a silly question

I can see why you might think this, this was also my assumption.
However, where I parked was permit only, the other side of the road is 2 hour no return!

Also, this is our white van parked on the day in question. The sign on GSV is just to the right of the bush. On the day in question, this sign is completely obscured by the bush.
