Private parking tickets / Default judgement, defence declined by CNBC

Hello,
I’d be really appreciative of advice re following scenario/chronology:
1. Claim for private parking ticket issued 24/4/25
2. Acknowledgement of Service submitted 12/5/25 and marked as received 13/5/25 on MCOL website
3. Defence submitted via email 28/5/25 (one day late)
4. Email response was received from CNBC 3/6/25 stating that the defence is being returned as default judgement was already entered (MCOL website updated with the default judgement date being 2/6/25)
5. Further email sent to CNBC highlighting that the defence was submitted prior to default judgement and asking to correct this- there was no response to this
6. Judgement for claimant letter received 16/6/25 states that application form is to be completed if the claim was responded to (I looked this up and think this is N244 to set aside)
Should I:
a/ complete N244, pay the fee and explain that I believe there to have been an administrative error and therefore asking for refund of the fee?
OR
b/chase the email highlighting the chronology/ contact the court?
Thank you kindly 🙏
