Private parking tickets / APCOA parking charge - Manchester Airport, drove through drop off zone when lost
« on: June 09, 2025, 04:24:58 pm »
Hello
While driving to the drop and go car park at Manchester Airport where the driver had parking booked for a holiday. The driver got confused around all the airport roundabouts and drove through the Pick up / Drop off zone by accident. The driver did not notice they had done this and the driver did not identify any signs to say tell them they were entering a paid for zone. The driver followed the road they were on, identified the correct route to follow and proceeded to the Drop and Go parking booked.
The registered keeper has received APCOA parking notice for entering the Pick up / Drop off zone for 57 seconds.
Can the notice be appealed? Or can it be ignored? The registered owner received the notice (9 June) seven days after the issue of charge (2 June). The contravention occurred on 27 May.
Thank you very much in advance for your help. Images attached of parking notice as required.
