Hi can any advise on this scam PCN from Premier Park.
They parked in a retail park to go into Smyths Toyshop.
They parked at the bacl of the car park under a tree in the shade, no other cars in the near vancinity.
Then this PCN has appeared for parking the wheel on the white line.
Can anyone advise what to do with this one?

Hi i have received PCN from Southwark Council, i was doing some work for a resident and she purchased a victual parking permit (buy online for temporary parking) for me for 5 hours.

Upon returning to my vehicle i had a parking ticket PCN, i took it back to her and she checked the virtual permit she bought for me and she had put her sons registration in instead which had a similar registration at the end.

On phones or laptops when you enter a registration more than once it is held for easier input next time, as i was working there all week it appears on her phone.

So she simply pressed the wrong registration, leaving me without a parking permit at the time of the PCN.

So before i appeal can anyone offer any advise on appealing?

Many Thanks.

This was the email address:

customer.services@metparking.com

I was only asking as to why i received a PCN when only staying for only 25 minutes.

I realized my mistake after googling the car park after sending the email and realizing this was a scam site which they claim to be 2 separate car parks in 1.

Also if i did want to pay it says £100 now? not £60?
Appeal is on hold as they are asking for a Starbucks receipt.

It was only an email to MET customer service.

1st Email was:

Hi i have received Notice to Keeper "PCN ************    Car Reg *************"

For Southgate park Stansted which gives you 1 hour free car parking, I bought a coffee there and was there for only 25 minutes?

Can you advise please.

Thanks,

Mr **********

Second Email was:

Hi i have received Notice to Keeper "PCN ************    Car Reg *************"

For Southgate park Stansted which gives you 1 hour free car parking, The Driver bought a coffee there and was there for only 25 minutes?

Can you advise please.

Thanks,

OP, I'm assuming English is not your first language. SO, I'll try and make this as clear as possible...

Please show us EXACTLY what you put in both emails you sent to MET.
I have, above this post.

The naïveté in the belief that an email can be “recalled” is your downfall. There is no such thing. Once an email has been sent, it has been delivered and the evidence is there.

Whilst Gmail and some other email agents may provide an “unsend” option, that only works if you select it, usually within about 5-10 seconds after hitting “send”, as the actual sending is on a delay. However, after this very short delay period, there is nothing you can do about it.

So, you need to hope that whatever you wrote is ambiguous enough to not dump you in the mire as the driver. Lesson learnt, hopefully.

If you cannot provide proof of purchase and your email blabs that you, the Keeper, were also the driver, then you’ve proverbially blow both feet off with a single shot and wasted your “golden ticket” defence for when this reaches litigation, which it will.

So, unless you show is a copy of what you have emailed to MET in BOTH emails, then it is difficult to advise you on how to deal with this going forward.

I still can’t work out what you said in your original appeal, can you please use the “quote” option and of course redact personal information?

For now, do nothing and you’ll get a POPLA code.

With the clarification you should get help with the appeal to POPLA, which doesn’t need to be rushed.

And, yes, the ‘recall’ email is extremely unlikely to have worked, however if MET is using your second email you might be lucky.

I only got a reply attached to the second email sent "The Driver" one.
The appeal is on hold to provide proof of purchase from Starbucks, which i don't have.
What would the next step be?

Hi, didnt think it was an appeal i was just asking why they issued a PCN when i was there for 25 minutes out of the permitted 1 hour.

This is the actual email:
I realised my mistake after Googling the car park and recalled the email and resent as "The Driver"

Hi all i need some help.

I received a PCN from MET Parking at Stansted Southgate Starbucks.
I drove in to the carpark, parked at the back as i was going to get a coffee from Starbucks, it was a warm day and saw someone walk out of McDonald's with an ice cream and that then changed my mind so i walked to McDonald's to get an ice cream instead. I saw a sign on entering saying McDonald's customer's have 1 hour free parking and only stayed 25 minutes.
So when i received the PCN i was surprised, so i called MET and said there must be a mistake as you get 1 hour free and was only there 25 minutes?, The MET CS person told me put it in an email which she gave me the email address, which i did saying i was there within the time limits.

THEN i googled Southgate Park Met and came across the many people having the same issue with this scam site.
I recalled the email sent and sent another one saying "the driver".

I received an response from MET:

I have removed all personal information.

Thank you for your correspondence in respect of the above charge. The free parking period is available to Starbucks
customers who have registered their vehicle via the kiosk in Starbucks. Having checked our records, we confirm that
your vehicle was not registered.
In order for us to consider your appeal fully please can you send us a copy of your receipt or other evidence to show
that you were a Starbucks customer on /04/2025. This can be uploaded at www.appealmetparking.com. We have
placed your charge on hold for a further 14 days to allow you time to send us this information. If we do not receive the
information by the end of the 14 days we will have to reach a decision on your appeal based on the information we hold
at that time.

I changed my mind and went into McDonald's so i have no Starbucks receipt.
So not sure what to do next??

I am the registered keeper.

Please Advise.

Thanks.
