Private parking tickets / Nexus parking PCN - overstaying - Ashford retail park

Have just had a letter from Nexus.
On the 19th the driver visited Ashford retail park, parked and visited several stores - actively shopping in all (with receipts). When they left the maximum time had been exceeded - but was not aware there was a maximum time limit for customers.

On the 30th, the keeper received this PCN, dated as issued on the 26th.
Any obvious grounds for rejecting this?
eta - spoke to two of the stores, they have no control over the parking or charges, the managers can't cancel anything and it's entirely down to the landowner.
