Not sure why but that address bounced back as invalid

23/02/2023DefenceIt's hard to remember what i did last week never mind over 2years ago but after checking through my emails i did actuallyreply to this original fine and offered to compensate the companydirectly for £20 and the reasons i wrote on that email for parkingthere was there was roadworks on the road so all parking wassuspended and I was collecting emergency supplies for someoneduring covid so i pulled onto this bit of land that had no parkingbays and it basically just looked like a disused bit of space iwas unaware of the contract parking terms and conditions or evenwhat the fee was or fine but i thought the offer of £20 for a 32minute stay was fair and reasonable but the cowboy parking companythought £100 for the brief time spent there was appropriate. I wasvery surprised to find that instead of accepting my reasonableoffer that i made they thought they could bully me into payingan extortionate amount , how they can now try and justify £182 fora 32 minute stay is beyond me and hopefully you will agree with mejudge as these cowboys need to stop being able to get away withthis. The defence that I would like to submit to you is that thesecharges are disproportionate and unfair as far as I am aware underEnglish law, penalty clauses designed to disproportionately punisha breach of contract are not enforceable, especially as I was noteven aware of the contract nor did I agree to it. Hopefully youwill agree that paying £100 to settle this matter is a fairsolution.

I had the mediation today the jokers wanted £230 to settle today i offered them £50 and we got no where so looks like it's going to courtsi found out it is with QDR Solicitors, pretty ridiculous that i have to ask to find this info out still received nothing in writing , they are claiming they have sent me letters which is bullshit i have received nothing , address has not changed none of my details have changed.How do i prepare for courts and what am i supposed to do or sayI don't think things are looking good at the moment they think they will get an easy win at courts it seemsI have been unemployed for 2 years and i have no money so not sure how the courts will look at that

Ok thanks, so do you think i should refuse to offer them anything still ? they dug this up so i am just worried that they think their case is strong enough otherwise why would they waste their time with all this

I have received nothing in writing other than the original DQ years ago and sanctions order in 2023 but i don't have either of these now as it was years ago

Ok thanks so you really think i should just say i offer £0 and end the mediation? if it does go to the courts won't the judge look unfavourably upon that?

This is so frustrating i literally have no information or access to any MCOL is useless and provides 0 data either

This potentially could not be true for me but after googling online DCB legal seems to be the company they use?

How can i find this out? again i have 0 information, the first and only bit of information i have had about this is an email stating i have  a mediation call set up.I sent that complaint too thanks.I have been unemployed for a while but i don't claim any benefits

yeah unfortunately my first time dealing with this i just thought offering £100 to make the situation go away was the best option at the time, i will have the mediation call tomorrow and offer the same and hopefully they take itthey are claiming £270 for a couple of pence parking charge and i have no job or money so hopefully it does not go to court and i have to pay this or more
