I think you're misunderstanding the markings.

Thanks for the info, I think its the lack of clear markings that made me feel like the PCN was unfair and I might be able to challenge it. If you google "disabled parking space uk" and click on images, that's what I'd expect a space to look like. This essentially has no markings on the floor, what is there is nigh on completely worn out (the "DISABLED" lettering in front of the bay) and only has one small sign next to the adjacent space. Had the floor markings been clear and white there would be no argument, not that there is anyway if there are no regulations covering it.

The fine is £35 so it's not the end of the world, I'll pay it and take a lesson to look more closely in future. In hindsight I should have known what with there being additional room in those two spaces. There used to be a big Sainsburys and Argos but they have closed down which is probably why it didn't twig.

Hi
I suspect I already know the answer (I should have looked more closely) but does anyone have any thoughts on whether I'd be successful in appealing mistakenly parking in a disabled space? The ticket is from Milton Keynes city council.

These images are from Google street view and are old, I think the painting in front of the spaces is worn away completely now. I should have been more careful I know but I just didn't realise these were disabled spaces, in my opinion the signage is 'lacking' to say the least. I'm used to there being clearly painted yellow signs on the floor and a sign in front of you as you pull in the space. I parked in the right hand space, I can't be sure but I think the small sign on the post in the right hand bay is missing now, unfortunately I didn't take pictures at the time as I didn't read the ticket properly and assumed it was because I'd paid with Ringo and they came before the payment had registered rather than being in a disabled bay.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts (their evidence is at the bottom of this post).
