Good day, I have recently received the PCN for "Failing to comply with a restriction on vehicles entering a pedestrian zone" from Barnet Council.
Seeking advice on the following PCN, I remember never seeing this sign, I turned right coming from Essex Park road on the Wentworth Junction. I was new to this area visiting family nearby, and was kit familiar with this particular road restrictions. I don’t have my dashcam footage of this date, but I am very certain this sign is not visible from the junction, and I must have made this error. Google map screenshot is 2 years old. Would really appreciate your suggestions.

I was able to find out the TRO
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pIv65pOZ7vLdr0BH5ZmZLskMQAnoLnLc/view, which suggests the council calls it "experimental".
Would appreciate if
@cp8759 and other respected members can share their opinions.
I have drafted a grovelling apology appeal, which is as follows, but would appreciate if I can get suggestions on this case.
"Firstly I would like to apologise for he inconvenience this appeal may cause, and appreciate the time taken to look into the case.
I would like to challenge this PCN, as I am not a local of the area, I was visiting my family based in nearby area.
I am based in North East of UK and not familiar with the area to where my navigation system has guided me. After a bit of through research I found out the restrictions were introduced in April of 2024 and I was genuinely not aware of the restrictions. It was my very first time visiting this particular area and corresponding factors resulted me in breaching the restrictions.
I understand and respect the council's decision of implementing these restrictions are in the benefit of the local community. Since I turned right on this junction from the Essex Park road,
On this occasion, can I request the council to cancel this PCN as a gesture of goodwill as it was my first time driving through this route, I assure this would not be happening again.
