Private parking tickets / Any grounds for appeal?
« on: November 19, 2025, 06:51:39 pm »
Good evening

Received the PCN shown in the links below. Seems to have been posted late so no opportunity to pay the reduced amount so I wonder if they have failed to meet the POFA standard and we can appeal on that basis. I don't think we have grounds for any other appeal.

Advice welcome please  (hoping I've posted the PCN pic correctly)

Private parking tickets / 3min9sec stay - I Park Services Ltd
« on: July 05, 2025, 12:28:34 am »
Hi everyone

A family member went into a private car park but chose not to stay, leaving 3 minutes later but still getting a PCN. Looking at other threads I note that an appeal might be a waste of effort so if we intend to not pay the £60 in the next day or so is the only method available waiting for the court paperwork and following the advice on defending the claim?

If we did the latter and waited for the defend the claim option, should I appeal based on them ideally applying the 5 minute concession time (which I expect will fail) given they don't appear to have signed up to that CofP.

Any help appreciated, thank you

Correct, the receipt for parking includes the reg no which clearly matches the car (no mix up of O and zero)

Private parking tickets / Britannia PCN - Workington

Hi - posting on behalf of a family friend. PCN has arrived from Britannia. I have had a couple of succesful appeals previously but at first glance this is the first one received with might comply with POFA so my previous experience won't work. The difference this time is that we have the receipt for payment so I'm assuming that is the simplest basis for appealing, but I'm a bit belt and braces and thinking that they will find someway to make life more difficult than it should be hence asking if there would be more than one way.

Family member was fined here before and paid up on that occasion which the cynical me thinks might be why they've tried to get them again!

Very grateful for the individuals who help the public in this way!

Notice has gone to keeper who was not the driver on the day.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Scott

Blacked out info is the reg no which does match that on the PCN
