Hi,

Got this PCN from TFL, I don't remember the situation. The pictures show my car with one wheel just over the entrance of yellow box. I have asked them for a video, because I want to see if upon entering the box the way was clear to exit.

Please see PCN and response to my request for video evidence.

and this is the response:

They are dealing with the request for video as a separate issue but have given me 14 days to appeal.

Do you have advice on what my next steps should be?

Thanks all!

Hi,
Today is the end of the 28 days for the second NTO dated the 13 June.
Could anyone advise or give feedback on my representation in my previous post, or I could just copy and paste the same text.
Thanks again

One PCN was dated the 12th so had to send a rep tonight for the first NTO.
Following is what I sent:
Quote
I live on Hillside Road and had a virtual resident permit but this expired. The attendant therefore issued this pcn and was quick to issue another one the next day PCN ZN1686446A The PCNs were issued under code 16 ("Parked in a permit space without displaying a valid permit"), however, as I had a paper permit displayed — albeit expired — I believe code 19 ("Displaying an invalid permit") would have been more appropriate. The penalty charge for code 19 is also lower. am the primary carer for my child who requires special care, and sometimes in the morning I must prioritise his needs, which can cause me to lose track of time. I usually move the vehicle before the 8:00 AM restriction but unfortunately was unable to do so on these days.
It took time until I got it, but I now have the care at home permit ZNX******* to park.
I am under stress and missed the first deadline for the representations and the discount.
In light of the above I would ask if you could cancel both PCNs, or at least we could settle on code 19 and the discount period amount?

The day on the scratchcard wasn't near to the date of the alleged contravention.
I have already had in the past received a PCN with code 19 due to having an expired paper permit on the dashboard.
It would be interesting if it is challengeable, as code 16 does require the permit to be 'valid'.
Do I have anything to lose if they reject my representation or will it stay at the £160?

Thanks for getting the images.
Agree I have to be quick here.
There is a paper permit (the scratchcard ones) from a different day, so practically expired.
This is usually where I park at night and I try to move away my car in the morning at 8 but it can happen that I am delayed.

6
I intended to post here for advice (actually started to draft) but didn't get round to it and missed the first deadline.
I live nearby but make sure to have my car away by 8 when the restriction comes in. The attendant recognised my car, so knew it would be a good target after he had issued one the day before.

Hi,
I have two tickets given on different days for parking on the same road. https://maps.app.goo.gl/r798vUiv2RdfqAVA6
It is a CPZ and I had parked there and had an outdated paper ticket on my dashboard.
My question is if because I had an outdated ticket, code 16 (without valid permit or clearly displaying vaild physical permit) doesn't apply and it should be code 19 (invalid permit or after expiry) in which case the ticket is invalid, or at least the amount should be less since the fine for code 19 is less because it is considered less serious as per here https://www.haringey.gov.uk/parking/pcns-parking-traffic/charges-parking-traffic-pcns

Thanks all for your help all the time.

Thanks for all advice. I accepted the offer
I am wondering if the magistrates could use compassion for the penalty points in the same way they can do for the fine dependable on the seriousness of the offence and the financial circumstances e.t.c. or is it always the fixed amount stipulated.
Regards,

I don't have the facts because only the NIP letter has a login to the evidence which by the time the COFP comes I can't log in anymore. I probably should've downloaded everything when I got the NIPs.

Thanks for the suggestions though with the 20mph limit there is a little window between driving too slow (not disturbing the traffic flow) and reaching the enforcement limit, so it becomes tricky.

11
Hi,
I got two NIPs around a month apart for exceeding a 20mph limit. I sent them back confirming I was the driver.
I now got a Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty for each, to pay £100 and 3 points.

I already have 3 points and done the course because I had a similar issue not so long ago where I had 2 alleged offences of exceeding 20mph, so I had the course and the other I had to accept the points.

One of the two that I have now is for driving 24mph, the other one I don't have anymore the NIP and I can't see what the speed was, but I know for sure it was also closer to 25 then to 30. This has been on all 4 occasions.

As I already have 3 points, and accepting the COFP for the current 2 will end me up with 9 points, I was wondering if there is anything I can do or ask for taking into account that the alleged speed.

Thanks for any help

Am I correct to assume that for the contravention to be correct you would need to say that this entrance is a carriageway over the footpath, and the edge of it are on the sides of the entrance, and the car was too far from the edge. In that case if I would've been parked closer to the corner the contravention wouldn't have occurred?

As you can see on the picture it's not like a junction with a road coming off it, there are actually long stones marking the edge of the road.

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anything to challenge with this PCN.

I was parked on the entrance to a not very busy car park. There was still space to enter and exit the car park.

The contravention stated being "more than 50cm from the edge of the carriageway".

I am wondering if this contravention applies in this situation, and if there is any point of challenging the ticket.

I am disabled and have a disabled badge, so would not be charged had I been on the nearby double yellow line.

Please see image of the PCN here:

The maps on google are outdated so you can't see the double yellow lines on the road, but not sure if that makes a difference. They go round the kerb just into the driveway, and I was parked in front of the driveway in line with the regular parking on the road.

Thanks all for your help.

Probably over a minute.
Anyway thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Please read this, and update your post accordingly: -
https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/

So, looking at the GSV view, I take it that you parked on the double-red lines. These mean "No Stopping" 24x7, but it does seem you were a bit unfortunate that two CEOs passed by. No observation is required for this contravention.

Anyway when we see the PCN, more advice can be given.

Thanks for the reply. I did try to embedd a drive link but it didn't work. I suppose I'll try with the direct link here:
