According to Westminster's own map
https://www.westminster.gov.uk/media/document/resident-parking-zone-e-map
the boundary of Zone E runs along Regent Street. So, if you entered the Zone via Conduit Street,
it was presumably here

Having also checked

it is beyond me what the sign in Savile Row which HCA found is doing there.

so it seems you need to go and get photos of any CPZ signs along the zone boundary that you might have passed.
