Tooting, Contravention Code 46 Stopped where prohibited, TFL
« on: »
Hi

My dad has recieved 5 letters on different days, starting from the 13th September for stopping where prohibited on Moffat Road, Tooting.

He has parked here for years when going to tooting as the bay was 10am - 4pm 30mins parking. It looks like it has now changed as the bay is now a loading only bay 10am - 4pm 20mins he didn't check this as he would use that bay often. There were also no signs to say that the bay restriction had changed. (I'm not sure if there should be)

I do notice it is now a red box however he is from the older generation and quite use to doing things routinely.

Is there anything I can do to appeal these as I feel like it is unfair.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

That's unfortunate but people have had success in paying first and asking for discretion on others incurred before first received.

There may be something technical in red route challenges currently but others will know if so.

So would I appeal for him to ask for the rest to be cancelled as discretion but pay the first one?

@MrDipDip please post up all give PCNs, you need to read the guidance here: https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/

At the moment all TFL PCNs can be beaten based on various technicalities.
