If anyone could advise me it would be greatly appreciated.
I received three parking fines for parking outside my residence without a permit on an event day while I was abroad, this was in August. Upon returning, I appealed all three fines, providing evidence of my virtual permit. However, yesterday I received an informal rejection for one of the fines, which claimed I didn’t have a valid permit. This was confusing as I did have one.
After investigating, someone from ringo informed me that there was a small mistake in my permit registration: my vehicle license plate has an "O," but the permit had a "0" due to a minor keying error. I immediately contacted the Brent permits team and they kindly and swiftly edited my virtual permit.
I then sent an email to the Brent parking reps team explaining this and expressing dissatisfaction with their rejection because it appeared to be a generic copy/paste email stating that the PCN was issued correctly and I did not have a valid permit when I thought I did. I also included the additional 2 PCN's (which have not been responded to yet) citing the same reason. They responded today, stating that when the enforcement officer checked my vehicle for a permit, it didn’t appear because of this typo. They also said "The second point is even with your event day resident permit where you parked, the vehicle should be parked in a marked bay, that is resident or permit bay". I WAS parked in a marked bay outside of my house, the lines are faded. This parking reps officer seemed like he was just looking for additional reasons because this wasn't even the original issue. He then immediately responded to my other 2 PCN appeals minutes after citing these two reasons. I sent an email again this evening, highlighting that the permits team have corrected my permit and this was a genuine error with evidence. I also sent photos of my road with the faded bay lines and other cars parked on the road. I'm not sure if they will respond within 14 days as the letters say "The Council’s policy is to only consider one informal challenge. Therefore, should further correspondence be received before a NTO has been served, it may remain unanswered.If the PCN is paid in full before the NTO is issued, the case will be closed and there will no longer be a right to appeal further". He did however respond to my email form yesterday responding to the informal rejection notice of the first PCN.
Please advise on what to do. I don't know if I should wait for NTO to make a formal representation. What are my chances of success ?
