PCN violation
« on: »
I got a bus lane penalty on the 22/06/2023 from the Tunbridge brough council
with a penalty charge of 70 pounds ,But if paid within 14 days it will be 35
pounds .So i paid 35 £ and got it out of the way.
I have now found out the wording on the notice should read 21 days notice
not 14days.What do i do now ???

Too late, if you've paid there's nothing you can do.

Some councils will issue a refund if you explain you want to appeal, and you could then make representations, but if they say no then that's the end of the matter.
I practice law in the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, London Tribunals, the First-tier tribunal for Scotland, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal for Northern Ireland, but I am not a solicitor or a barrister. Notwithstanding this, I voluntarily apply the cab rank rule. I am a member of the Society of Professional McKenzie Friends, my membership number is FM193 and I abide by the SPMF service standards.
