PCN 53J - Weymouth Avenue (W5)
« on: »
Hi all,

I’ve received a PCN for allegedly entering a pedestrian zone on Weymouth Avenue (W5), Ealing, after continuing straight on Weymouth road after crossing Bramley road. Map link and image below:

What surprised me:
•   I didn’t see any clear sign before entering warning of a pedestrian zone as I had to pay attention to cars and vans. It was a heavy traffic day due to roadworks. A van was also blocking my right view.

•   Once you go in, the road is narrow and reversing would be unsafe

•   Council photos only show my car already on the road, not any advance signage. Signage looks like a generic parking sign!

•   It was a rainy day with a lot of roadworks around the area.

I’d really appreciate:

1.   Advice on how best to appeal (especially around SAFETY, signage / advance warning), and

2.   If anyone lives nearby, whether you’d be willing to take a quick photo of the approach/junction showing the signs (or lack of them)

Thanks a lot — any help is appreciated.
