Author Topic: Lewisham, 99 stopped on a crossing area marked by zigzags, Molesworth St / TFL, Lewisham Shopping Centre  (Read 500 times)

I halted at the traffic light and loaded my son and wife who were waiting on the walking path. note that the zig zag lines are right before the traffic light.i only opened the left door to load wife and son and restarted immediately.

I received a ticket and i challenged it saying i wasn't parked there.
after that, i did not receive any further communication from TFL and yesterday i got a note that i didn't respond in time and i now have to pay £240.

I checked on the TFL site and the PCN is in a weird status of "On Hold: SUS26 - Representation Received (30/05/2024)"

location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ktqkCtyFEzqH4cRh9

i would have challenged it again if they communicated anything but they didn't.

can you help please?
Thanks

We need the full story via all documents to help.
I REGRET THAT, FOR THE PRESENT, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE ON ANY MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. THIS IS FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND LEGAL REASONS. PLEASE DO NOT PM ME UNLESS YOU HAVE POSTED YOUR THREAD ON THE FORUM AND I WILL ATTEMPT TO GIVE ADVICE.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

apologies see the documents below
the full story is that my wife and son were at the shopping centre. they called me as they have finished what they needed to do and i went to pick them up.
i stopped in the same place where i would have stopped if the traffic light was red, maximum 30 seconds, enough to open the door, let them in and go away.
that's it. then i got a ticket which i challenged.
my challenge was rejected but i never received any communication about it from anyone.
then out of the blue, a letter stating i did not respond to the communication about rejection, which i never received, and that i now have to pay £240.

i checked online the pcn and it has a number of weird messages. if i would have to pay, which i don't think i should, i would have paid after the rejection, would i have known it.

below is what the PCN status is from the tfl.gov.uk site:
