Ilford lane redbridge council yellow box junction pcn

Hello guys again unfortunately got stung again by yellow box junction on Christmas eve when visiting family. Looks like don't stand any chance but trying my luck to see if anyone can come up with anything to fight this PCN.

Looks the same to me too.

There may be mismanagement by Redbridge of the enforcement process so wait and see what others say. There have been serious issues with council on-line representations pages, but adjudicators are divided on this, so until they convene a panel to make a decision, it's not a guaranteed win yet.

Thanks for your comment. Will see what other says if I need to make representation  and what shall I give in a reasons might be useful.

Which states following

I make this collateral challenge against the PCN:

 

Your website fetters discretion by making me tick boxes of many grounds which may well apply in terms of mitigation.
Also it contradicts the law and the PCN  by telling me to select one main reason. Therefore, this causes confusion.

Will see what council have to say now.

No problem, just keen that the right person is credited.  I recognised those appeal points as Hippocrates' work straight away!

Can't see anything to go on with the video so you'd need Redbridge to mess up with process/paperwork.

One argument not raised yet is the vague location stated in the PCN.  Ilford Lane is a mile long with numerous junctions, none of which have a box junction marked on Google maps (so they must be quite new).  How are you meant to know where the contravention is alleged to have occurred?  Could be one of around 30 different junctions.

I see mine and another initial response described it as a slam-dunk case in favour of the council, and I see no reason to change that. They have re-offered the discount, and their response seems to be in order,  so it is your decision whether to pay it, or register an appeal at London Tribunals with the full PCN penalty in play.

Sometimes the skill and diligence of our "ferrets" is not enough to overturn a PCN !!

I have until 31st January to pay discounted pcn. So looks like paying discounted price will be wise decision unless someone come up with stronger arguments to go to tribunal.
