Hello,

PCN # AO03811230 ON 04-02-2025 at 16.35

I have recieved a PCN for parking contravention 40 as car was parked behind the disabled parking space and but actually the car was NOT parked over the space but behind and beside the raised curb. This was on Greenford Rd just after the signal of Ferrero company towards West way shopping.

How do i challenge this as the car was behind the disabled space not over and also the raised curb was enough for a single car to get into during the morning time of 10.30am. Car is Ford Focus 2007 BK07OGL - blue colour

Any help is appreciated

This is a council PCN so I have moved this post to the Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) forum.

To help the users there provide you with the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it requests as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - **BEFORE POSTING YOUR CASE!**, This section is for council, TFL, Dart/Mersey/Tyne etc. cases

There are no photos on their website, but I suspect your car intruded slightly into the disabled bay.

I suggest you now submit representations based on what you have told us, and request that if they dispute your account, that they supply photographs of the alleged contravention, because you found none on their website for the PCN number.

This attached I have received from Ealing council

Assuming there's a traffic order in place for this bay you have no chance. I'll try and check the order.

Why did you park in this way?

@stamfordman, i wanted to keep the car beside the raised curb.

You might want to redact your name and address from the notice of decline of challenge.

100% a contravention.

Best bet is paying the 50%

A disabled person may have reduced mobility such that they can't easily get out of a tight space without hitting a ridiculously closely parked car.
I help you pro bono (for free). I now ask that a £40 donation is made to the North London Hospice before I take over your case. I have an 85% success rate across 2,000 PCNs but some PCNs can't be beaten and I will tell you if your case looks hopeless before asking you to donate.
