My wife forgot to renew her resident parking permit and recieved a ticket. I want to challenge it on her behalf on the basis that there was no sign for the parking place where the ticket was issued.
Most of the spaces on our road are regular RPZ spaces with restriction times stated on signs within each place, and repeated at intervals. However, the space in question is missing it's sign, and has been for at least a couple of months. This space, when the sign is present, has a different restriction - resident permit holders only, max stay 20 minutes during restricted hours.
There are presumably RPZ signs at all the zone entrances, but there are too many possibilities for me to confirm. But given that All the individual parking spaces normally have their own signs within this zone, do you think we migt have a case? You can see the sign that is supposed to be there in the GSV link. The council pics also show the black pole where the sign should be mounted.
You will also see in one of the council photos that she was also issued another ticket. I'm not challenging that one as it was issued in a correctly marked bay. She just drove around for two days without seeing it stuck to her windscreen.
EDIT: PCN, pictures and GSV now posted below.
