Good morning

Myself and my friend had just dropped our kids off yesterday and we met in Southgate for a coffee. We parked on a bay each (2 cars) and in a couple of minutes we were both given tickets. We had no time to get the app and pay. Observation time 10.21 to 10.21 for my pcn is this possible? I did get the app sorted and pay and spoke to the warden but she wasnt interested just said to appeal if you have it on your phone. Not sure how legal this is I thought there was an 3 min observation time. Please let me know your thoughts thanks in a advance.

£55 is so disproportionate its a joke really. £110 for the 2 of us for a quick coffee. We couldnt get the app working Southgate is a pain with phone signal sometimes.

Unfortunately this area is a cash cow for Enfield due to the number of eateries on both sides of the road. If you spin the GSV around, you'll see four cars parked on the Taxi rank in the middle of the road as well.

There were previously P&D machines on both sides, but those have been removed in favour of Pay by Phone. Whether the TRO has been updated to reflect that I couldn't say.

He made a statement (apppeal) to say "his search for a pay and display machine took longer than planned and as there was no machine it was too late as a pcn had been issued."

Fancy term for a traffic warden??
So it sounds risky to imply that the paying process was interrupted because of the sight of a warden giving a PCN, but it's so crazy it might just work!!
