Bus Lane fine Edinburgh (Multiple fines incoming)
« on: »
Hello,

I have recently received a fine from the Edinburgh council for a bus lane charge at the shore going towards the city. The problem i face is that i have driven this route about 8 times which means i will accumulate £800 worth of charges (reduced to £400 if paid in 14 days) I am at the end of my mental capacity already and this is another kick in the teeth from the council. I understand my mistake and would pay the £50 fine as it is a law and i understand. However there is no way i can get £400 spare. I have just graduated and just moved into a flat so already scrounging enough money. I am just looking for advice on what i can do to deal with this? i feel lost and to be honest i just feel completely financially f'ed by this.

this is a photo of the charge below. I have covered my vehicle reg and the photos just for my own data protection.

Sorry for some reason my image wont load i have uploaded to imgur instead which is a website that will not give you a virus :D

No need to hide anything but name and address.

Usual strategy with multiple moving traffic PCNs is to pay first if not challengeable but ask for discretion on rest as not aware of contravention until first arrived.
