33E Camrose avenue :(
« on: »
Had a PCN through regarding going through the bus gate on Camrose avenue at 23.14 28/11..

Thing is, we dont even remember there being any lit signage for it at all, have had a look back at our dashcam footage and because its a week ago, weve only a snippet from the road a few minutes before the gate - the clip we have shows many signs along the road, some over lit, some illuminated and some with no lighting at all, there are a couple of signs along the road that show a light overhead that isnt working so im sat here fuming (typical Yorkshire lass) because of it all.

I see there are signs and there is wording on the road from Google maps, but having had a look online, it seems this bus gate is famous for raking in the money due to the short distances involved between warnings and the gate and regarding the poor lighting on those signs. Ive asked for the cctv footage, its "being prepared" how would one go about appealing this please?

This is a council PCN so I have moved this post to the Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) forum.

To help the users there provide you with the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it requests as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - **BEFORE POSTING YOUR CASE!**, This section is for council, TFL, Dart/Mersey/Tyne etc. cases

Welcome and no apologies are needed. Please give us the PCN and VRM details. I won a case a few months ago and have another looming. This is beatable.
I REGRET THAT, FOR THE PRESENT, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE ON ANY MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. THIS IS FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND LEGAL REASONS. PLEASE DO NOT PM ME UNLESS YOU HAVE POSTED YOUR THREAD ON THE FORUM AND I WILL ATTEMPT TO GIVE ADVICE.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.
