Sp30 twice on same day
« on: »
Hi, I was caught twice in one day doing exactly 35mph in a 30.zone, I genuinely thought it was a 40, my mistake I was picking and dropping my brother off after we attended my nieces graduation. The offences was on 24th July 25. I received notification on 22nd August for Sp30 3 points and £100 fine for each one and I paid for both on 4th September 2025. I filled in the back of both forms and sent them off in the same envelope. I didn't send them recorded just posted it off. Now today 24th January 2026 I've received a refund of both fines, £100 each, directly back to my debit card, nothing else, no letter, email or text. I'm totally confused and obviously I've gone down the rabbit hole on Google and it seems the most likely reason is because I didn't send my driving licence but I'm sure the form didn't ask for it, just my driving licence details. Obviously I don't have anything to refer back to as I presumed it dealt with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm literally out of my mind with worry right now.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sending in of the actual licence hasn't been a thing since the paper counterpart was abolished. Are you certain you supplied your details when accepting the CoFP?

The other reason could be if you were on 9 points or more at the time of the offence.

Were you offered a Speed Awareness Course for ne of the offences?

There were probably 2 forms to fill in both require licence details to be entered. what did you get 1 or 2 and did you fill in both?

Whether or not the OP was offered an SAC is utterly irrelevant other beyond the moderating issue of removing irrelevant noise and irrelevant noise makers.

@OP - details are often important.
SP30 is the endorsement code that the DVLA uses when applying endorsements to your driving record (virtual counterpart) for speeding in an ordinary vehicle on an ordinary road. This clearly hasn't happened, so your references to SP30 appear to be "user generated content".

Are you trying to tell us that you received two separate Conditional Offers of Fixed Penalty, conditionally (upon not being liable to tot up to 12 or more points) offering you the opportunity to dispose of the liability for the offence(s) by paying the fixed penalties and sending your identity information (licence details) to the specified address for the points to be applied to your driving record, or that you were notified that SP30 endorsements had been applied to your driving record (we know it's not this one), or something else entirely?
