I disagree, the OP can accept one 3pt/£100 fixed penalty and then argue that any court case is arising from the same offence, if the court accepts then that was the result.

And how likely is it that that argument will succeed?
I don’t think it’s likely at all (regardless of the approach used, they are just too far apart) I was just saying that NJ’s best wasn’t IMO the best.

Do you think NJ’s best is the realistic best?

Without the OP telling us whether or not he continually exceeded a 50mph motorway limit between the 2 points, or if he has no specific recollection, the distance between the 2 locations, I am once again disappointed that certain posters who ought to know better are wasting time with idle speculation.
I am responsible for the accuracy of the information I post, not your ability to comprehend it.

I don’t think it makes any difference, if they agree it’s a single offence, whether you have accepted liability via an FP or via a guilty plea?
There are motorists who have been scammed and those who are yet to be scammed!

Thank you for all the responses. Just to throw a spanner in the works, I now have ANOTHER NIP from Derbyshire Constabulary that took place at 01:27am on the M1 near Barlborough (North Bounc) J29a-J30. This one is an alleged speed of 59 in a 50. I'm gobsmacked, I was content with paying off the fines and taking the course + 3 points but now I'm considering the court option.

Another update for whoever might be following, or potentially in a similar situation themselves. I have contacted CREST directly, who have cancelled the second offence, with advice on being aware of the current restrictions on the M1.

I would highly recommend anyone in the same boat to contact CREST before signings any NIPs.

Glad to hear of that success, but you need to be a bit careful with that advice. Technically you are obliged to respond to the request for driver's details regardless of any issues you may have with the underlying offence.

So this third alleged offence occurred between the other two but closer to the second (the one that has been cancelled) than the first (1:17am; 1:27am: 1:34am).

I think you are still left with the same problem (and the same options).

I don't quite understand the reason for the cancellation of the 1:34 offence. You say "with advice on being aware of the current restrictions on the M1." What does that mean?
