The National Motorway Awareness Course is alive and kicking, I completed one less than a week ago.
It is distinct from the regular speed awareness course.
The NIP says I was doing 70 in a 60 zone. I prob know the answer, but my question is that since the forward camera on my car didn't pick up the change in limit it continued to display 70 as the speed limit on my instrument panel. Any chance I could use that as a mitigating reason with the Met?
I wouldn't, your task as driver is to remain alert, observe and respond to signs, not rely upon in-car tech. Your suggestion is leading with the chin of 'I wasn't paying attention to what was happening outside my car'.
Alexa, tell me when the speed limit changes won't wash I'm afraid.
