Haven’t received FPN to my address yet
« on: »
Hopefully this is the correct sub to post in.
As the title says I was pulled over (in England) for speeding and informed that I would receive a fixed penalty notice, sent to my address via post.
This was around three weeks ago, still no letter has arrived.
I'm concerned that I may receive further punishment to not paying my fine and not responding to a letter that I haven't received.
Does anyone have any experience of this happening? Have I gotten away with it (doubtful)? Should I contact them?
Thank you in advance for any helpful replies.

You need to move your post to the forum for Speeding and other criminal cases.  A Fixed Penalty Notice is sent by the police to the address you gave to them. This is normally a letter offering you the opportunity to pay a fixed penalty for the speeding offence (£100) plus 3 points on your driving licence. This means no summons to court where the fines etc can add up to a big amount.

They have up to 6 months to prosecute from date of offence. However, 45 in a 30 should qualify you for a COFP assuming you are not on 9 points already.

2-4 weeks is not an unusual time frame for receiving a COFP. You could always give them a call after a couple of weeks if you haven't received anything. The other possibility is the report fell through the cracks.
