UKPC Parking charge for overstay from a doctors appointment
« on: »
Hi

I have received this parking notice for overstaying 11 minutes after the free 30 minutes was up as I was at a doctors appointment and couldn't get out to pay.  I am the registered keeper but I have not told them who was driving as you can see it was dark at the time so very difficult to see any clear signs.  I will try to get a picture to show you.  Is there anyway I can appeal this charge  as I had no way of knowing I would be longer than the free 30 minutes.

Many thanks for any advice

Is this car park part of the surgery?

Usually the advise is you don`t pay anything to UKPC.

b789 will advise.

Your link doesn't work, we need to see the documents to advise.

Have you tried Plan A? Ask the surgery to cancel the PCN.

Hi sorry please try these links

The car park is not solely used for the doctors surgery, I did call to ask if there is anything they can do to help but they told me it's nothing to do with them.

I'm not sure about house to do these links please bare with me while I try to get it right.

Appreciate you can't do anything without any info

Which car park did the driver use at the location? Did anyone in the vehicle have a blue badge and did the driver use a disabled bay? Can you go back and get some photos of the general layout and the signs, in the dark, without using flash or headlights?

Their ANPR images do not show the duration of parking. They simply show the period that the vehicle was on site, which is not parking. There is a minimum 10 minute grace period on top of the paid parking time and they have issued this for allegedly being 1 minute over the grace period.

As this is an NHS Trust facility, who fobbed you off about not being able to get the PCN cancelled. You must email the CEO of the Trust and make a formal complaint.

Also, have you tried the PALS service?
