Hello, please delete if not allowed.

Received a parking fine at Victoria Road Retail Park in South Ruislip, I was using the Pure Gym. On entry, it's declared that there's a "3-hour maximum stay only" and so I park. It's 0630 in the morning and I leave by 0740 the same day. Despite this very obvious sign, what isn't so obvious is that in the car park, there are other signs that say "NO PARKING BETWEEN 2130 - 0730" I took this image from my perspective just to show how small it is and how high off the ground it is too. The most annoying factor of all of this is that PureGym does ask me to validate my parking but I totally missed this entering the property apparently this is quite a common occurrence for this gym and they frequently have meetings with the Retail Park owners to have more signage.

Do I have any kind of a leg to stand on here in appealing? PureGym is going to help my appeal but I'm skeptical.

Have amended thank you.

UKPC always easily defeated. No one who comes for advice about a UKPC PCN pays a penny.

UKPC signs always breach the BPA CoP requirements for signage. Their signs are unintelligible and, as you have noticed fail to bring the amount of the large to the attention of the driver.

However, whilst you should be telling the gym to get it cancelled or else go find somewhere else to spend your money and let them know why. You will appeal and it will be rejected. You will then appeal to POPLA and it may or may not be successful.

What is guaranteed to be successful is if/when it goes all the way to a court claim.  As long as all the useless DRA demands are ignored and the file a claim, as long as it is robustly defended they will discontinue before it ever reaches court.

Anyone paying a penny to UKPC is a fool and their money, especially if they have come here or to MSE for advice.
