High Court Enforcement - Removal Notice
« on: March 04, 2024, 01:34:42 pm »
Hi, this is the first we know about this matter as we are unaware of any pcn from Parking Charge Ltd.

This morning received a Removal Notice from High Court Enforcement Officers which says they have been instructed by the High Court to recover a balance of £682.70

HCEO say they sent a “First Letter” in Sept 2023 - it was not received.

The balance must be paid in full by 9th March “failing which High Court Issued a Writ of Control and has instructed us to apply removal proceedings against you for recovery of the Balance, and, by law we have the right to seize your belongings from inside or outside your house, with or without your permission.”

Please show us a suitably redacted picture of the Notice. There are a lot of scams out there. Without seeing the notice it is difficult to have any idea.

As above, we need to see exactly what you have received.

For the first you have heard about the matter to be a Removal Notice requires a lot (an almost implausible amount) of post to not have been received, is there any reason you can think of why this might have been? For example, have you moved in the last 6 years, if so, when?

Is it the same case as this one - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6510563/removal-notice-from-high-court-enforcement-officers/p3
?
If so, it’s already been exposed as a scam and there is no CCJ or PCN, so we can all down tools or help someone else.

Yes it is the same and thank you for your input. I am grateful the scam was revealed quickly.

I wasn’t able to post pictures on here as I couldn’t work out how to host them.

Hopefully more potential victims will benefit from the scam being aired on multiple forums.

It was a worrying letter to receive as it wasn’t immediately clear it was a scam. I think the main lesson is to be sceptical of any urgent demand for money and check if there is a County Court Judgement logged with the credit reference agencies - CallCredit, Equifax or Experian.
