Right. Ok thank you again very much. Am I getting close to this nightmare being over yet? I hope so. Not sure what I’d do without you all.

Closer. DCB Legal draw out the process for as long as they can, then pull out before having to pay the hearing fee. They do this with the intention of grinding you down. Get through the brief mediation call using the advice we've given you, saying as little as possible and offering nothing. From there, just keep abreast of any correspondence sent to you, seeking advice here, and they will eventually discontinue.

Hi everyone. Had the mediation call stuck to what you advised and said I’m not willing to offer anything and willing to see them in court. What am I to expect next? At what point do you think they will pull out ?
Thanks again

The next thing that will happen is that the case is transferred to your local county court. You will receive an order from the court once the allocation judge has reviewed the case. At that point the judge will either strike the claim out, order the claimant to send further detailed PoC and then give you another opportunity to amend your defence or will simply assign a hearing date. If neither of the first two things happen, then the claimant will have until approximately a month before the hearing date to pay the hearing fee. It is at this point that they will discontinue.

Depending on how busy and backlogged your local county court is, will depend on when this will eventually be over.

Hi all. Just a follow up to my ongoing DCBL nightmare. I keep getting calls from a number that my phone comes up with suspected scam so have ignored it every time.  I’ve just googled the number and it’s 1 digit different to DCBL. Number calling me is 01606539165. According to google 01606539169 is DCBL. shall I answer if they call again? In case it is them?
Thanks

Do not speak to DCB Legal by phone. Correspondence should be in writing.

If I ever receive a call from a number I don’t know, I just block it and am never bothered by calls from that number ever again. Who cares who it is. If they really need to get in touch with you they’ll have to try harder next time.

If iI knew or suspected it was from DCBL or their ilk, just block it anyway.

Hi all. So yesterday I received a letter from my local court asking for my defence as they didn’t have it on file they said. And also the directors questionnaire which I have sent to the court. Today I’ve received an email from DCBL legal team offering me a settlement out of court of £150 reduced from £305. Shall I reply? And if so please can you help me what to put in my reply.
Cinders - these people are amazing aren’t they so helpful. Glad my long post is helping you too 😁

Do not reply to DCB Legal, this is just the start of their increasingly desperate attempt to get money out of you. In due course they will give up.

But ensure that your inept local court now has all the documents you have already provided.

You MUST send a copy of your defence to the local court immediately in response. Please show us the letter and stop trying to paraphrase the content.

Ignore the settlement offer from DCB Legal. They will discontinue.
