Parking fine from being in the gym car park that I’m entitled to use!!!

I’ve been going to this gym since 2019 it operates from a parking system you enter the gym and put your reg in, I must of entered the reg wrong on the system we all do mistakes? I’m a gym user so I’m entitled to use that car park!

Parking eye sent me fines and I ignored them and tried appealing and it got denied.

Now months and months later dcbl have issued  debt recovery notice.

If I used the car park illegally I would of course paid the first initial penalty which I have done in previous parking fines,  my credit score is maxed I don’t want to mess it up but I literally cannot pay this when I was entitled to use the car park, I just can’t do it!

Do I stand a chance against this vermin? Has anyone had something similar. Any help would be great thanks

If you haven't already, you should speak to the gym management about this and see if they will intervene.

As well as the above, it would be useful to see a copy of the appeal you submitted, and their response, as well as the date you appealed.

Parking Eye have not issued you with any "fines" If you can show me the word "fine" in any of the paperwork they sent you. I'll pay them for you. What you did receive was speculative invoices from an unregulated private parking company, a totally different matter.

You have not done anything "illegal" either. Neither are they "penalties" and you won't find that word in any of the paperwork either.

When you say you appealed, what exactly did you put in those appeals?

Your credit score will not be affected by any of this. The only way your credit score would be affected is if you lost a claim by ParkingEye in court and then failed to pay the CCJ within 30 days of judgment. Otherwise, there is no risk to your credit score.

OP, you are not entitled to use the car park on your term and conditions simply because you are a member of the gym. You are entitled to use the car park on the operator's terms.

Normally if a simple mistake has been made the gym would cancel, but you don't say they've been approached, let alone tried to intercede.

As per DWMB2, we need the notices) (is it just one) and photos of any signs.
