Company carpark PCN - permit showing
« on: »
The business centre carpark is 'managed' by Parking Control Management (UK) Ltd. Staff members of the various companies pay a monthly fee to have a permit that we must display in the windscreen.

With regards to the PCN in question, the permit was displayed in the windscreen although on a flat part of the dashboard rather than the angled part, and the PCM member took a photo from a angle which meant the permit is not fully showing. You can see the corner of the permit, but not the permit itself.

No PCN was placed on the car, but a standard letter was received at the registered keepers home. The driver was confirmed to PCM. An appeal was submitted but was denied as "the vehicle was parked without fully displaying a valid permit within the windscreen".

The company owner has contacted the business centre management but has been fobbed off that it should be discussed with PCM !!

It is now with Trace Debt Recovery.

What are peoples thoughts on this ?

To help us to help you, please read the following thread and provide as much of the information it asks for as you are able to - READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide. We need to see photos of the notice received, any photos from PCM, photos of the signage at the site, your appeal, and their response. There's a guide to adding photos correctly in the thread I mention.

It may also be sensible to get some photos of your own with the permit in the same position, showing that it would have been visible to the attendant.
