First things first. STOP any contact with DRP or any other debt collector. They are not a party to any contract you have allegedly breached with an unregulated private parking company. You can safely use any correspondence from a DRA such as DRP or anyone else as lining for a cat litter tray or as kindling.

Second thing... is the address on your V5C logbook up to date? Have you moved at any time before the date of the alleged parking event and updated your drivers licence but not the V5C logbook? Updating one with the DVLA does not automatically update the other.

You've not been "fined" at all so please stop referring to it as a "fine". It was a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking company. For the time being, DO NOT reveal the identity of the driver. Anything sent was addressed to the keeper. The keeper and the driver are two separate legal entities and there is no legal obligation for the keeper to reveal the identity of the driver.

V5 details up to date licence up to date nothing has changed for years.

As an aside, the address on your licence is entirely irrelevant to this matter, the only thing that matters is the address on the car's V5C at the time of the incident.

The Company have now sent me a copy of the PCN. They didnt respond to the dispute or the fact it hadnt been sent so i asked them "who would i notify who the driver was" they swiflty responded saying its nothing to do with them and its in the hands of the debt collectors.

If you would like any advice on its contents, then we'll need to see it. Regarding what you sent to them, and how they responded, it would be helpful for you to share the exact wording rather than a summary.

So is the address on the PCN your current address or not? First thing you should have checked.

They won't consider any appeal, nothing makes them.

They will tell you to talk to DRP as they can.

BUT in law the potential debt is with them and the court expects them to behave reasonably, the less reasonable they are, the better for you if they decide to go to court.  You can still give them LEGAL reasons why nothing is owed (instead of going off half **** as you may well have done) which may well dissuade them from chancing their arm in court, the better informed you appear, the less likely court action will be.

What did you do with regards to Plan A? Did you try and get the landowner/manager to cancel the PCN? You can continue to try that approach up until if/when they file a claim.

Otherwise, all you can do for now is wait and see if they decide to take the matter further and issue claim. If/when you receive a real Letter of/Before Claim that gives you 30 days to pay (ignore anything that only gives you 14 days or anything except 30 days), come back, show us the letter and we can direct you on how to respond and what to do next.
