does that LoC have the same reference number as the previous LoC? Do you have more than one outstanding PCN with ECP?

The original LoC has the same reference as the actual claim you have already been advised to defend.

Make sure that this new LoC is not for a different PCN. If it is for the same PCN you are already defending, then this is an abuse of process and DCB Legal should be reported to the SRA.

What does the back of the LoC say? This sounds very much like it relates to a different PCN.

You will need to file your own DQ, see https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/ccj-for-private-parking-charge-registered-to-my-old-address/msg76361/#msg76361 for example, in which you require a hearing in person at your local court.

DCB Legal want to avoid a hearing in person because it costs them ££££, you need to counter this and as defendant your choice will trump theirs.

Just wait for the phone call and offer £0 and it will be over in minutes. It's not part of the judicial process and no judge is involved. It's a complete waste of time.

Hi all i got the mediation call and offered £0, i now received this letter does this mean i have to attend court? Will it go to court

Sorry wont allow me to add attachment but the letter states

This claim has been transferred to the county court at Uxbridge for allocation. On receipt the file will be referred to a procedural judge who will allocate the claim to track and give case management directions. Details and the judges decision will be sent to you in a notice of allocation.

Is there any way i can avoid court?

You won’t be attending court. This will be discontinued before they have to pay the trial fee.

If you can’t host the file on here the use a free third party hosting such as Google Drive or DropBox etc.

Show us the anotice of Allocation when you get it.

I can tell you with greater than 99.9% certainty that any claim issued by DCB Legal will be discontinued if it is not struck out first. No need to stress over this.
