Hi there, new to the forum and need some advice on a ticket received in May.
I visited Stanstead airport for a pick up, was there for a brief period, there were no barriers to alert me to an access issue so drove away. Later received a PCN through the post which I appealed on the basis that I wasn't aware that I had to pay on site (I believed an invoice would be sent via post?). The appeal has been rejected as the link shows below and I have been issues a POPLA number.

Is there any way to challenge this?

Any advice appreciated.

You've redacted everything in the docs!  What exactly did you say in your appeal? If you didn't ID the driver there is a way out.

Thanks for the info Richard, I have updated the links, some weird conversion going on!

What, exactly, did you say in your appeal?

If the drivers identity has been blabbed, inadvertently or otherwise, that just means that a PCN that could have been cancelled with one single appeal will not be a protracted affair with the Keeper receiving endless debt recovery letters. Not that debt collector letters should be responded to because they are powerless to do anything except to try and persuade the low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree to pay up out of ignorance and fear.

Sadly, most of the low-hanging fruit don't understand this and end up paying something that they didn't have to pay at all. If the OP does nothing whatsoever from now on, this will all fade away eventually as APCOA are not litigious.

In other words, the driver’s identity was revealed in that appeal.

So, as above, ignore letters from debt collectors and when you receive a formal Letter of Claim, come back here for advice.

Classic example of over blabbing too much information. @jpn101010@gmail.com, do you really want you name, address, phone number and email address exposed on a public forum? All someone now needs is your date of birth and your identity is as good as stolen!!!

You blew this appeal by blabbing the identity of the driver, who they had absolutely no idea who that was until you told them. You've also admitted to another contravention in the same appeal!
