Charity Auction

My wife bid for and won a silent auction for charity, the proceeds of which go to a  hospice.  The auction was for two EasyJet tickets to anywhere that EasyJet flys.

She looked at the Terms and Conditions and the only exclusions were that you cannot fly on a bank holiday or during school holidays.

She bought them because we want to go to Israel, however when she came to book the flights EasyJet said that Israel is excluded.

Where do we stand.  It appears to me that because there was nothing in the Terms and Conditions about flying to Israel, EasyJet are under an obligation to honour the vouchers.

Can anyone advise please?

Whose terms and conditions? The person who ran the auction or EasyJet?

What do the vouchers say? Are they issued by EasyJet?

How do you know EasyJet set the terms and conditions? The screenshot you have provided seems to be from the person who ran the auction.

The central question for now is who you have any sort of legal relationship with - EasyJet or the person who ran the auction.

was the area of Israel you were attempting to visit included in the Gov restricted or advised no travel areas?

Easyjet flights to Tel Aviv have been suspended for a while now.  They were going to resume flights from 1 June, but that is now postponed to July 1.

Thus, while the charity tickets might be for anywhere to which easyjet flies, Israel is currently not somewhere to which easyjet is flying.

. No, it was to Tel-Aviv and surrounding areas.  To get to the restricted areas or advised no travel areas one would have to go via Israel’s main airport.

Another thing it says about "UK Bank Holidays" and "UK School Holidays"

Each countries in UK usually but not always have different dates for bank holidays and school holidays. How it is defined as it seems to be vague.
