Dropped kerb query

As a matter of interest …

There is a dropped kerb nearby that once served the drive of a large house.  Said house has now been demolished and redeveloped, access is now in a different place.  The old dropped kerb still exists but leads nowhere (well, to a brick wall).  Is it still illegal to park across it?

A dropped footway is only enforceable for vehicular access, pedestrian crossing or cycle track.

If none of these apply then a historic lowered footway cannot be enforced but we do see CEOs still ticketing them and it's tiresome to challenge.

Ta muchly.  Friend has got antsy about parking there, even though enforcing would be ridiculous. It will be good to reassure him.

just make sure there isn't one on the opposite side of road so council can't argue it's a pedestrian one.
