Small bit of advice needed.
Stayed in a Premier Inn overnight, with parking. Didn't realise a fee of £10 was to be paid for overnight parking.
First I heard was a PCN fine through the door.
I never paid because I was actually parked in a bay that was for the solicitors next door.
I've now been summoned with a CCJ, Is there anyway my counter claim will hold ?
Or is it a case of just pay the fine ?
Thanks in advance !
Thanks for the response.
I'm not too sure how to upload docs - if you can point me in the right direction ?
Read the civil parking link above for guidance on posting images.
Who issued the PCN?
Please post the original PCN. I infer you never engaged with Horizon, that you did nothing until now. Is that correct?
You have to file a defence or Acknowledgment of Service by 1 July
If you file an AoS you have until 15 July to file a defence
What do you mean by “counter claim”?
Oh, and it’s not a
fine, it’s an invoice for payment under the contract the driver entered into by parking, having read the terms and conditions on the signs in the car park.
If you do not have the original PCN, then you can obtain it through a Subject Access Request to Horizon, but make sure you do so as the registered keeper and do not identify the driver if you do so.
