Firstly, I appreciate you taking the time to help, if my text was difficult to understand or not well written I apologise.
The "he say, she say" was to highlight what caused the nuanced confusion and led me to believe everything was ok. Because the officer told me if I bought the insurance, he will let me go +6 points and a fine.
I got the 6 points for driving without insurance. Which was entirely my fault. I took full accountability when stopped and have not made such a mistake since.
I received the 3 points letter a few days ago for driving 36mph in a 30mph zone. When I accepted liability, a conditional offer of 3 points + £100 was made.
When I accepted the offer and went to pay it would not accept my license number, which surprised me, and I asked my friends who are more passionate about cars, they asked me to check if my license was valid with the DVLA. I checked and sure enough since the date of the traffic stop, it had been revoked, and as highlighted in my original message, I was not aware of this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
