Read through this case.

Did you do any checks when you parked, and what was your route to the parking place?

I think there was a pop concert that day so not a 'match'.

I came in from Upper St and checked only the sign above.

Yes I think it was a Boyzone concert and judging from the other post you mentioned, many people have challenged this and won. I can see the many cases cited.

I can also see from the other posts that other signs list the dates of 'match days' but this one did not.

The other complication is that the vehicle is in my husband's name, but I was the one who parked there. Does my husband need to challenge it or can I do it on his behalf?

I was in Islington on Canonbury Lane and thought I had paid up until when free parking starts - past 1:30pm. I was then given a fine at 1:48pm stating I parked after the expiry of paid time (05).

I am not sure why I was given a fine but I assume it was a 'match day' however, I couldn't find any games on at the stadium. Are concerts including in this? Should a layperson know that a match day means concerts too and not just sporting events? Should the council not provide info on how to check for match days? Seems a bit too tricky for the average person to decipher.

Should I fight this? I am assuming many people have been through this already?
