Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Croydon council, 01, mayday road, double yellow, blue badge on display

Car was parked as one of the vehchile occupants had to be taken to hospital.We had parked in front of the hospital on a double yellow line with the Blue badge displayed with the correct timings and everything.
Evidence from the council shows the badge displaying a parking time of 4:45pm,
the alleged contravention occured at 7:46pm (photos show 7:47pm) so about a minute after the allowed time.
However, at the time, we were in the hospital on the other side of the road.

It was only issued yesterday but we're looking to context with hospital evidence etc. Is there any point of going through the appeals process?
