Private parking tickets / PCN Smart Parking Oswestry OK DINER

We recently received a PCN from smart parking regarding a fine for parking at OK Diner in Oswestry.
Upon entering the main car park on 22/2/26, there were no parking spaces by Starbucks (our destination) so we found a space in what seemed to be a general carparking area, parked up, and went to Starbucks to purchase coffee and use the bathroom. On 16/3, I, the registered keeper, received a PCN through the post issued on 4/3.
We did not see any signs about restricted parking areas and when we looked on Google maps, the most recent update is 8 years ago (there are no signs, see attached). We don't live anywhere near this area so it would be a significant trip to go and check it out in person for current signage.
After some googling I found this site, and there are a couple of threads indicating that we can successfully appeal this fine, so any help with this would be much appreciated.
