Post a photo of the sign, or a GSV link to the exact location. The fact there is a sign is against you, but the worn carriageway markings support your case about what bays the sign applied to.

oops, i got the gsv link wrong in op, its here https://maps.app.goo.gl/hyLGkMoqwcYPAqk78

i was parked where the ambulance is in the current streetview images

Have you seen the council's photos which IMO clearly show a PCN affixed to your windscreen?

i had not until stamford posted them. how do i get them myself?!

The PCN was served but you didn't have your wipers parked. But it looks like it was not tucked under the wiper so may be deemed not fixed.

thanks!

i hadnt noticed the yellow notice in the image. it certainly was not there when i next used the vehicle (PCN says incident occurred 2/2/26, date of notice is 5/3/26) and are not visible in the two images on the pcn in mail - how did you get more images?!

is the notice invalid if there was no notice attached to vehicle, or done badly enough that it blew away? does this stand if - as is the case - we are still given 28 days from receipt of the mail?

re the bay designation i am going by what the pcn says - i have no knowledge of whether it's a generic disabled bay, or if it's specifically for a particular resident in a particular house.

pcn says:
'Contravention: 40, Parked in a designated disabled person's parking place without clearly displaying a valid disabled person's badge'

thanks again for your time

Hi, thanks for any help

It looks like i accidentally parked in a disabled bay on a public road. Brent council want £160, rising to £240 after 28 days. (I have until 2nd april to pay or make representations.)

It is a genuine accident (fwiw i have very little respect for people who wilfully park in disabled bays - i would never do so on purpose) so I'm hoping the poor markings or perhaps a procedural oddity /malformed notice might be a valid reason for appeal?

No physical notice was attached to the vehicle - i received in the mail only.

The bay is on the street outside a house with parking at an an angle to the road.

There is a sign on a post outside the house, as well as markings on the road in front of the bay.

The markings on the road are severely faded (see image) and i genuinely did not see them when i parked at night. They are completely invisible (or out of shot?) in the images provided with the PCN.

Due to the angle of the bays i thought the sign related to the next bay along rather than the one i parked in.

see images (neither of the cars in the images are mine, i parked in the same bay as the grey aldi

i just saw the guide says not to obscure the pcn number or reg, but i already did, so here they are:
PCN: BT27904724
REG: LN10 FDG

Google maps. note the on-street 'DIABLED' marking is completely invisible in street-view

ps i tried inserting images but they do not render so i've shared links to public google photos instead.
