I no longer have the original notice, I just binned everything that came through up until recently. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour shortly after the first letter came through last Feb/March, so it was a bit of a weird year for me.
It happened in Cairn Lodge Services, the parking signs are terrible, it took me googling them after the parking ticket came through to see how bad they were, the driver did not see them as it was late & they fell asleep in the van leading to an overstay.

Hello,
I have been sent a letter of claim by BW Legal on behalf of premier parking Ltd, for a parking overstay in a service station that occured in Scotland last year, I live in Wales. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to avoid paying this/what options I have. Thanks

Hello, it's my first post, I hope the image link works.
The driver of the vehicle received a parking fine last year from Cairn Lodge Services Lanark. It was really late and they stopped there and fell asleep, they didn't see any parking signs at the time and just left. A couple of weeks later a fine came through, I googled the place to find pictures of the parking signs, which are the most obscure and un-obvious signs I've come across.
I ignored the initial letters and was shortly after diagnosed with a brain tumour, so after that my year went down hill and I just binned everything that came through from them after reading some advice on online forums that they wouldn't follow up. I stopped hearing from them and then recently received a letter from BW Legal demanding payment as a lump sum or via a payment plan.
I don't know what to do I can't really afford it as I had to take lots of time off work due to the tumour, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
