Hi @Hippocrates were you able to dig anything out please?

2
Hi I’m simple terms what does this mean please??

This is a pic just before I decided to take her into the venue to clean her. I consulted with my partner that this would be best course of action as there’s not really much around that area.

So we left the car and as we were coming back - he was printing ticket. He saw her with sick still on her and looking poorly - I just went in there to do basic face clean as that’s all I could in circumstances far from my house / family friends house

Hi @LarryLongShanks i have the same PCN and also missed this bus lane.

Happy to start my own thread if you / @Hippocrates wish to see it - but if there is a standard template can you please share what you wrote to do your first appeal please?

No template as such but let's see the thread and circumstances.

I will dig out my cases.

Hi thanks so much - pls  be advised my own thread can be found here:

Hi does anybody have experience of successfully challenging PCN from Harrow council Northolt Road / Alexandra avenue bus lane please?

PCN below link below

Please advise if you need any other details. From Google this seems to catch a few people out due to short length of bus lane - and has been appealed successfully on occasion…

Obviously a genuine mistake

Hi thanks for that..First I’ll get a notice to rejection I believe and get to appeal to council again?

What more would you suggest to add please?

The ceo literally saw her sick noted this on his tablet and has a pic. I’m shocked that wasn’t enough tbh…

Hi all,

Hoping for some advice please following a PCN I received when I had to make an emergency stop on a double yellow. CEO has pulled up in a van and immediately given a ticket as I came back to car. He even saw my daughter sick and made a note on his tablet and took a pic. Yet they’ve rejected.

All details of PCN, my appeal, and their rejection is at link above.

Pls advise if you need to know anything else - and of any advice on what to do next as discounted rate ends soon. I am shocked even with supporting CEO notes they’ve not exercised discretion here. If I appeal again not sure what else I can add. Other than the closest car park based on research since I got ticket is 0.5 miles away
:/

I understand if I appeal o lose right to discount - but it may get reviewed by a more understanding and humane officer!! Might be wrong ?!

TIA

Just wanna say thousand thanks to Kdaniels. I received a PCN for the same offence last week. It was my first time in east london and I didn't notice any sign at all saying that we have to pay for using the Blackwall Tunnel. Found your thread here and did exactly as what you did (appealed and registered for the Auto Pay). Checked the TFL website today and the PCN got cancelled. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi I received a PCN in January of this year too - appealed and they rejected :/

It was my first time and I also provided proof of autopay set up.

Did you do anything else?

Mine was signed by a D.Milton…

I appealed citing a lot of reasons but they just didn’t care :(

Reasons stated:

Autopay set up ensure won’t happen again
Was using a Sat nav in unknown area - it didn’t alert me

Had excited young kid
In book ready for a show at o2 - attached Tickets as proof

Jubilee line down for engineering works that weekend - attached proof

Gov toll website doesn’t list Silvertown or Blackwall tunnel

£90 find an innocent mistake - happy to pay £4 original charge

Guess I have no chance with an adjudicator…

Wish the show was last year when the seemed to be letting people off - my luck it was this year.

Heartless.

Yes I saw that link shared on another post and worth adding in.

I rang and they said it would be unfair to penalise you twice. So it’s just the one PCN. Cos I was worried one got lost in the post as I used twice. But they seem to be allowing the first use and charging for way back.

£8 cost will cost £90 which is very unfair imo. Happy to pay £8 if there is a way!

Any others thoughts welcome

I’d like to ask if anybody recently successfully appealed against a Blackwall tunnel / Silvertown tunnel PCN?

I genuinely did not see any signage and my sat nav did not flag it as a toll road. I drove to the o2, somewhere I would always take the train to. On this day the jubilee line was down due to engineering works. This seems a new tunnel that was only built last year and I’ve clearly missed the signs to pay.

I’ve since set up autopay but if anybody has any advice on successfully appealing can you please share?

I’ve read up that they allowed some people when it first opened. Hoping they still excuse first time mistakes.  I only got 1 PCN which is some goodwill as. When I spoke to their helpline they said it should have been 2 as I used both ways.

Please advise if you need any further details …
