Hi,

Just for any future reference when paying the fine on the scotscourt.gov.uk site it had in nice big bold lettering

3 additional penalty points will be applied to your driving licence.

So it looks indeed like they have synced the process up so providing another form for the DVLA is not required. In this force area at least.

Thanks for all the help and advice

Hi

Received the NIP, filled it in and signed it.

Received the conditional offer of 3 points and £100 fine. Going to accept this however had a question

Q: It says on the form I can pay the fine online so by paying the fine online do they then add the points automatically to my licence or do I need to do something else for that part?

I have thoroughly read the letter but doesn't state anything about how the points will be applied

Thanks

To be honest I'd rather just take the 3 points and fine without the hassle of dealing with police at my door for an unsigned form.

I'm happy to take responsibility for my actions, was just curious of the potential outcome of doing 58 in a 40 as I have never been hit with a speeding ticket.

Is going unsigned still an option in Scotland?

Can you explain what this means?

Have Enterprise responded to the police? You must not, until the police contact you.

Yes Enterprise have advised me they have sent my details on to the Police.

I have not responded to the Police as I haven't had any correspondence from them as yet.

Hi

Recently rented a transit van from enterprise to move house. Received an email stating they'd been contacted regarding a moving violation.

Emaied back and they provided the form from the camera unit off Police Scotland informing I'd been snapped by a fixed camera doing 58 in a 40.

The road in question is a dual carriageway but is indeed a 40. New to the area so must have missed the sign although no excuse.

Anyway clean licence, been driving 23 years so was wondering possible consequences?

It's in Scotland if that makes..a difference
