Hello OP and Stanfordman.
I am the poster of the link that StamfordMan posted above.
I challenged based on the fact that, in my opinion, the sign does not require any payment on a Sunday (it describes payment on a mon-Fri, but only states time restriction on a Sunday). I was on Palfrey st though, iirc.
I have continued to challenge, and have an adjudication hearing (not quite the right word) in June. I hope that H&F will drop it before then due to a lack of evidence but we shall see.
Their responses to my appeal never actually addressed my points about the sign being poorly descriptive.
I also added in to my appeal the fact that when heading south on FPRd, the sign is at the busy cross road outside the hospital and often obscured by buses and other traffic if stationary, or if moving, you are more focused on kids / bikes / traffic than looking quite high up for wether it’s an event day.
I will keep you posted on my appeal.
