These were our thoughts yesterday, too. We got hold of a lovely guy at National Highways who confirmed it was closed, despite TFL saying they had no records. We've put in a Freedom of Information request, we asked him about the diversion and he said one wasn't showing! He couldn't be sure of the diversion signage used ie whether it was symbols (HGV friendly route) or old-school "diversion" and arrow.
Thanks for your Google link - it's definitely confirmed how motorists late at night are hugely disadvantaged by the un helpful positioning of the ULEZ signs when exiting East Lodge Lane, turning right onto Cattlegate Road, coupled with tree and hedge cover. Why can I almost hear a ringing in my ears that sounds like a "kerching"?
