Private parking tickets / Re: Filling in a N1SDT form.

A progress update on my case....

I filed my reply to the claim on MCOL, copied and pasted exactly as provided.  It was easier than I expected, thankfully. A few days later I received from the courts, a letter of acknowledgement essentially informing me that the prerogative now lies with the claimant to pursue, should they wish. I'm hoping they will not and that that will be an end to the matter. I will post again should I hear any more, hopefully with a favourable outcome.

Many thanks for your help and expertise, it is much appreciated.

Sorry for the delay. I've had to relearn how to use a computer/scanner etc.
OK, here are the images for the N1SDT form....hopefully.

By my calculation, I have until the 29th Dec to reply.  So, with Christmas inbetween, I'm hoping it will arrive on time. Although, it does say I can respond online, which I think will be safer.

Thanks for your help.

Ben.

Private parking tickets / Filling in a N1SDT form.

Could someone please advise me how to fill in a N1SDT form to avoid paying court and bailiff fees please.  It regards a parking charge from CPPlus a few months ago, however we never received the original fine, I'm guessing due to the fact the V5C was registered at our old address at the time.  The first we heard of it was a letter from DCBL demanding £170 for non payment fees and now we have received the N1SDT, which I understand is the important one.  We don't mind paying the original fine, however much that is, but object to paying £263 to avoid a CCJ.  We had another fine a few months ago along similar lines and didn't deal with it in time, costing us £284. In fact, on another note, that first fine was paid in full within the specified time, however a CCJ is still showing on my credit report.  The letter said it would be automatically removed upon payment, but not as of yet.  Do I need to apply somewhere to have it removed?

Thankyou for your attention.

I thought as much, especially after finding the court papers yesterday. It's partly my fault for leaving it so long to deal with. I've paid it now anyway. No, she's not really interested in credit at her time of life but she does live in privately rented accommodation which I know can be a problem having a CCJ should she ever need to move.  If it were thousands, it might be a different story, but for £280 it's not worth spoiling her good credit. It's just a case of 'chalk it up' and learn from it should it ever happen again. I appreciate your time and expertise looking into this. Thankyou.

Sorry for the delay, I had to work out how to upload photos. I haven't used a computer for a while.

Yes, it seems there was a letter from the court.  I've included them here. Hope it opens.

Private parking tickets / Impending CCJ
« on: December 01, 2025, 05:24:26 pm »
My elderly Mother has received a letter from DCBL informing her that a CCJ for £284.70 has been entered against her on 4/11/2025 with 1 month to pay, so the deadline being this Thursday 4/12/2025.  It seems that she has received letters from them before demanding £170 but she disregarded them thinking that they were some sort of scam.  However, this new letter regarding the CCJ only arrived on Wednesday even though it was dated weeks ago (obvious pressure tactics).  I have ascertained that she never received any letters from CPPlus, the parking company, and that at the time of the 'offence', her V5C was not updated to her new address as she had recently moved, so she never even had the chance to pay the original fine.  I realise it's a long shot now, but is there anything that can be done before this CCJ is set in stone?   Thankyou for your attention.

Thankyou for the advice, it is much appreciated. I have now sent this in an email.  Do you think we are likely to get a reply from them pursuing the case or are they likely to just drop it?

My 80 year old Mother has received a letter from DCBL debt collectors for £262 for a parking infringement in March 2025 with CP Plus. She received a previous letter from DCBL in August demanding £170 but she didnt understand it and thought it was a scam. However, she never received nor had the opportunity to pay the original fine from CP Plus. I believe this to be because she neglected to  register her new address with DVLA when she moved house last year. She's quite happy to pay the original fine if necessary, but she's on a basic pension. £262 is a month's spending money for her. Does she have any cause for appeal? Thanks.
